Illegal Alien Healthcare Costs

Every day, illegal aliens are treated in hospitals across the country, costing American citizens millions of dollars. You will be amazed at how much these costs are. In 2007, the cost of treating illegal aliens in Florida, alone, was one hundred million dollars. The cost each year, nationwide, is well into the billions of dollars! The Federal Government is apparently not interested in sending these illegals back to their home countries for care and treatment. Something must be done to fix this. Check out this 3 minute video of testimony from one Florida hospital.

Please keep in mind that the majority of the health care costs you are worrying about are not the bi-product of undocumented immigrants, but rather uninsured citizens. I conduct a great deal of research in this area and can tell you that no matter how you wish to look at the issue, the bare numbers demonstrate that undocumented immigrants contribute more money to the US economy than they take out - especially in regards to health care. In order to gain employment they use falsified documents - employers withhold the proper amount of money which goes to the government and is never sent to the undocumented worker. To work with simple numbers, for every 11 dollars an undocumented immigrants "cost" the health system, the same workers contributes 90 dollars to the federal government.

The real problem is not that undocumented immigrants utilized emergency services, but that this country refuses to allow a great number of people who are both citizens and non-citizens health insurance that would allow preventive care and reduce the costs on the medical system in untold amounts.
