It is rare to perform air refueling operations in the presence of St. Elmo's Fire. Below, is an exciting video of just that. During the refueling of an E-4 Boeing Advanced Airborne Command Post in the soup (aviation talk for "clouds") by a KC-135 Boeing Stratotanker, sparks stream from the refueling boom to the nose of the E-4!
